My Memories:

 This game reminded me of Lunar Lander in essence. It also reminded me of Gravitar. I did not know this when I played it in the early 90's that it was based on an old c64 game called Thrust. You goal was to guide your craft down to the planets surface locate and grapple onto a pod and then thrust back up into the upper atmosphere to dock with your mothership. This is more easily said than done.

After you attach to the pod it is suspended below you on a cable so when you move the cable moves and when you make turns the pod on the cable and the inertia that ensues can make for some tricky piloting. You could be inside some narrow corridors, or you could have to be defending yourself against both ground and air defenses or both.

 You do have a shield and a laser to defend yourself, there are also fuel pods that you can utilize via your tractor beam to obtain more fuel.

 Your ship has good detail as well as the various planet landscapes have there own distinct look and feel.
